Linnea's Journal

Linnea ate oatmeal and baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger stew with meat, green beans, carrots, and potatoes.  She also ate whole wheat dinner roll, and apricots. First, I just want to say thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement for me to go to Louisiana for Thanksgiving week.  This is so wonderful for me and I'm really looking forward to traveling there tomorrow.  Thank you all so much. Linnea ate French toast and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, peas, and a large serving of strawberries. First picture: Not long before I took this picutre Atley was standing around whining.  What are you whining about?  "Linnea won't chase me!!"  Haha!  But they were soon playing chase around and around the Daycare room. Linnea ate whole wheat toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate several bites of cauliflower, and ate fruit salad. First picture: Well Linnea played with her coat on for at least 35 minutes.  This must be a new coat because she wasn't about to take it off.  I remember when my son was little and he got his first batting glove.  I don't think it left it hand for about 3 days - including sleep time.  :)  Atley was very happy to see Linnea and said, "you have a bad cough."  :) Next picture: Linnea was happy to be here too!  This is "new toy Monday" for her (that's Atley's phrase) as we did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this past weekend.  Here Linnea is putting on some dress-up clothes; pajamas. Linnea ate waffle and three servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate Shepard's Pie with meat, green beans, carrots, and potatoes.  She ate whole wheat tortillas, and cherries. First picture; I have Baby Miles behind the protective gate - primarily to protect him from the other baby! Linnea was watching him and said, "Gary he grin at me, Gary he grin at me!!"  Yup, he'll grin at you a lot.  A very happy and sweet baby.  Another note from early this morning; Atley was examining Linnea's face and said, "You have something black in your mouth.  Say AHHHHHHH!"  Haha!  That hit my funny bone. These next two pictures go together.  Avilene is in the igloo in the first picture.  She was ordering Atley and Linnea to place the blocks in a strategic manner until the entrance hole was completely covered.  Then she told them to "go count and then come find me."  Haha!    So they went around the corner, covere...

Linnea ate French toast and ate strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate whole 30 chili, with meat, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, tomato sauce, peppers, and spices.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and she ate her tropical fruit. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and I liked what Linnea was doing here.  Atley had asked Linnea; "push me in the chair."  (Not really "asked," but you know how it is.)  Linnea was in her bare feet and so first she cleaned off a path all the way around he chair.  Those legos are not much fun to step on with your bare feet!!  That was good planning Linnea!! Next picture: Remember in yesterday's blog she asked if she could "pet" the baby.  Haha.  Today she said, "Hey Gary, I pet him."  :)  Wow!  I think Linnea would be an awesome BIG SISTER!  Haha! Linnea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork chop (mixed with applesauce that I fed her), no whole wheat toast, and ate beets. I was in the kitchen when Linnea arrived and she came walking right in of course and she had the biggest sweetest smile on her face.  Man it was cute!!  So fun to see her this morning.  First picture - she happened to look out the window and saw the neighbor's puppy across the street and started squealing, "puppy! puppy! puppy!"  She and Atley ran to the window and was banging on the window which got the attention of the neighbor.  Haha.  The puppy is that little black spot you see in the neighbor's driveway.  :) Again, it was so fun to see Linnea this morning.  She was happy to see everyone and when I sat Baby Miles on the couch she crawled right up there.  She asked, "Can I pet him?"  Hahaha!  Yes you can and it won't be long bef...

Linnea ate whole wheat bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger and sausage pizza with meats, peppers, pineapple, olives, and tomato sauce.  She had bites of whole wheat pizza crust (which we serve separately), and ate pineapple on the side. This first picture looks familiar doesn't it?  These two were the only ones here (besides the babies) and they were sprinting back and forth across the room.  They'd sit on the yellow bench for a moment and yell, "FIRE!!" and take off running again.  I asked, "What are you guys playing?"  Atley said, "Fire Truck!!"  :)  So this was a well earned water break. Next picture; Svea, Linnea, and Atley were playing with the tractors and legos farm animals.  When Atley gets tired of preschool activities she'll frequently join Svea and Linnea in whatever they're doing.  And they love having a "big girl" join them.  And you can see why Atley likes it; "p...

Linnea ate whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, ate whole wheat tortillas, sweet potatoes, and fruit salad. First picture; This is where I always have Linnea sit to fix her hair in the mornings.  On the changing table.  It's the perfect height and it works good.  I changed Baby Miles and moved him to the side and he laid there while I fixed her hair.  She loved that.  :)  Yup, Miles is gonna watch. Next picture; I love posting pictures of the kids reading books.  And it happens every day!!  Svea and Linnea are both avid readers and these girls love their books.  They'll be reading or singing and the songs may have nothing to do with the book.  Atley still does that.  Haha. Linnea ate toasted and buttered whole wheat English muffin and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken with stir fry vegetables, bites of brown rice, and bites of mandarin oranges. First picture;  Atley went and got a drink and of course Linnea wanted one too.  :)  So she got Linnea's bottle for her.  Callahan was heading their way and they gave him some warning yells and signals! They were saying, "Get back Callahan, get back."  Haha.  They're keeping a close eye on him!! The first thing Linnea asked when she walked in the door; "Where is Baby Miles, where is Baby Miles?"  He's coming.  And she asked that 3 or 4 more times before he got here.  So I took this next picture shortly after he came.  And he's behind the fence for his own protection!!  Haha!! Linnea ate cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef mixed with avocado, ate whole wheat pita bread, tomatoes, and three servings of strawberries.  Linnea cracks me up when she's waiting at the window to wave at Daddy in the mornings.  Probably before Dad and Anders have reached the truck she'll be saying, "Why they not coming, why they not coming?"  :) We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the kids had fun all morning.  First picture; Linnea has on some cowgirl boots and she ready to jump.  Ha!  I told her they were her new "jumping boots."  :) Next picture: Well Nora's baby brother Miles started this morning!!  I love how he's grinning at Linnea in the picture.  It's a busy place around here today as we all get acquainted with Miles. Linnea ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate her fish (Alaskan Pollack), whole wheat dinner roll, cauliflower, and ate her mangoes. I'm sure everyone is  SO  curious about what kind of a morning we had after halloween evening!!  Haha!  I'll tell you anyhow; we were leaning slightly to the crazy side!!  Occasional spurts of extra energy combined with being tired.  I would say Linnea (along with Baby Callahan) was probably the least affected by it.  Her level of activity and tiredness were pretty much like a "normal" morning at Little Treasures.
