Linnea - 11/1/2018

Linnea ate waffle and two servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shepherd's pie with burger, green beans, carrots, and sweet potatoes.  She had a bite of whole wheat tortilla and she ate cherries.

Ok, the day after halloween!  I think this day deserves special mention in everyone's blog!!  :)  Lauralea and I always said this is probably the most challenging day of the year on a regular basis: Kids with too much sugar and not enough sleep!  Toddlers with a hangover!  They were all pretty exhausted and running on empty by 11:00 so we ate early.  Also, let's have a silent moment for all the elementary school teachers in the country today!!  Haha!

So here's some pictures from Linnea's morning.  Linnea starting pulling some toys off the shelves and Atley hollered; "Linnea's making a mess!!"  LOL!  I roared because that's a classic case of "pot calling the kettle black" and it hit my funny bone!!  Atley still loves to go through and clear shelves first thing!  Lauralea and I always called it the "dump and run" stage!!  :)

Here are more pictures from this morning: Linnea loves her Svea buddy and I think the feeling is mutual!  They frequently play close to each other.  And they're still playing side-by-side in the middle picture.  Last picture: Crawling under the steps was a bit tighter than Linnea preferred!  Ha!  Kids this age see an opening and just GO through it!  They don't yet have the cognitive development to stop, assess it first and then go through or turn around!!  Ha!

Linnea ate oatmeal and apple pieces for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, tomatoes, and green beans.  She also ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of apricots. Yesterday afternoon probably 30 minutes after you guys picked up Linnea and left on your bicycle, it started to rain.  That really caused Atley to be concerned.  It was SO sweet!!  She said, "I hope Eric, Becca, and Linnea don't get wet.  And Anders."  :)  That was so thoughtful Atley. Linnea - 2/3/2020

Linnea ate cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of ground beef, ate whole wheat pita bread, olives, avocado, and strawberries. First picture: I love how Linnea likes to snuggle and say, "I love you Gary."  So precious!!  Especially first thing in the morning before too many other kids arrive and then it's busy time!!  This was a selfie when she was snuggling me and then she asked, "Can you send that to my Mom?"  :)  Following picture: I had a phone appointment with an insurance agent so Lauralea was reading to the kids for me.  Lauralea was pretending to cry when Peter Rabbit was stuck in the fence.  Even though Svea wasn't on the couch she was listening and she immediately said, "Don't cry Lauralea, don't cry.  Don't cry Lauralea, don't cry." Linnea - 6/8/2020

Linnea ate some bran cereal and a few raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat pita bread, two servings of cucumber, two servings of avocado, and two servings of pears. This first picture is taken right after waving bye to Momma Megan.  Atley is a big girl, but from this angle, plus the fact she's on the top of the bench back railing, it makes her look huge and Linnea tiny. Funny picture.  They were looking at a worm taking refuge from the wet grass laying on the sidewalk again.  They got excited when it moved.  "It's moving Gary!  It's moving!!" Next picture; All five girls were playing on the balance beam and it was their "airplane."  Nora was actually the one that got this started while playing with Svea and Linnea.  Avi and Atley soon joined them and when I took the picture Atley said, "Ok everybody get on the airplane.  Put your seatbelts on."  :)  The picture makes it obvious that Avi and Atley kind...
