Linnea - 4/3/2019

Linnea ate whole wheat toast and a large serving of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, peas, and strawberries.  So for you observant types that noticed whole wheat toast for breakfast AND whole wheat toast for lunch here's the reason!!  Haha!  Our menu is set up to not have repeating breads or anything else in the same day.  However, we switched Wednesday's Lunch with Thursday's lunch, so there you have it!!  :)  And I won't bore you with the reason for that switch!!

I was watching Linnea this morning and I was sure she was pooping.  A few minutes later she comes over to me and with total clarity said, "I'm poopy."  In her soft little voice.  She's super young to be telling me that!  It's really cool that she can do that and that she does it!!  I'm impressed!!

Linnea was playing with these pillows and rubbing her hand on them.  It's a texture thing and it does feel kind of different!!  She was saying, "pillow, pillow, pillow."  Second picture: Linnea is playing with the food toys, but I was getting a kick out of the fact she never released her grip on the "baby." And she also has a mask hanging around her neck.

Lauralea was walking to catch the bus this morning and she stopped by the window to wave at Linnea.  Linnea smacked the window over and over and over until Lauralea was out of sight!

Linnea ate cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of ground beef, ate whole wheat pita bread, olives, avocado, and strawberries. First picture: I love how Linnea likes to snuggle and say, "I love you Gary."  So precious!!  Especially first thing in the morning before too many other kids arrive and then it's busy time!!  This was a selfie when she was snuggling me and then she asked, "Can you send that to my Mom?"  :)  Following picture: I had a phone appointment with an insurance agent so Lauralea was reading to the kids for me.  Lauralea was pretending to cry when Peter Rabbit was stuck in the fence.  Even though Svea wasn't on the couch she was listening and she immediately said, "Don't cry Lauralea, don't cry.  Don't cry Lauralea, don't cry." Linnea - 6/8/2020

Linnea ate some bran cereal and a few raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat pita bread, two servings of cucumber, two servings of avocado, and two servings of pears. This first picture is taken right after waving bye to Momma Megan.  Atley is a big girl, but from this angle, plus the fact she's on the top of the bench back railing, it makes her look huge and Linnea tiny. Funny picture.  They were looking at a worm taking refuge from the wet grass laying on the sidewalk again.  They got excited when it moved.  "It's moving Gary!  It's moving!!" Next picture; All five girls were playing on the balance beam and it was their "airplane."  Nora was actually the one that got this started while playing with Svea and Linnea.  Avi and Atley soon joined them and when I took the picture Atley said, "Ok everybody get on the airplane.  Put your seatbelts on."  :)  The picture makes it obvious that Avi and Atley kind...

Linnea - 2/28/2019

Linnea ate waffle and fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of shepherd's pie with meat, carrots, potatoes, and green beans.  She also ate whole wheat tortillas and her cherries. Just in case anyone is interested:  Child Care Resources is celebrating 50 years in the Missoula community with free rides and free Ice Cream at the Carousel on March 12th, 5:30 - 7:00.  Bring friends and family.  All ages of kids are welcome. Linnea is such a little snuggle bug in the mornings when she arrives and I love it!  So cute.  She was saying lots of words with her soft voice; "Atley?"  Yes, Atley's coming.  "Nor Nor?"  Yes, she's coming.  "Avi?"  Yes, she's coming.  "Svea?"  Yes she's coming too!  Then she saw the picture on my shirt.  "Mickey?"  Yes, that's Mickey Mouse.  Then she leaned over to examine my ears!  Ok, I'll go get my hearing aids and put them in!  :) First picture: ...
