Linnea - 12/20/2019

Our meals today are different than the posted meals.  A couple of unforeseen difficulties, so for lunch I used leftovers from Wednesday lunch.  For breakfast; Linnea ate cheerios and dried plums.  For Lunch we had leftover "Whole 30" chili with meat, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, peppers, tomato sauce, and lots of yummy spices.  She also ate bites of whole wheat dinner roll and pineapple. First picture; There are 5 of the Daycare kids in this picture; Baby Miles was taking a nap.  It's hard to catch more than 2 or 3 in a picture at the same time.  The kids have really enjoyed having the big bears out to play with for three days this week.  They will go bye bye again this weekend for another few weeks. Next picture: Linnea was playing with the food toys again; ice cream cones, cake, and pizza.  Following picture; Having some alone time on the shelf with her baby.  It's interesting how some children really do like some alone time and it helps...

Linnea ate waffle and two servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate Meat loaf, whole wheat tortillas, bites of carrots, and ate cherries. Here's a little quote from Linnea this morning that I'm sure you're totally aware of!!  And it came as no surprise to me either!!  :)  "I don't want to see Santa Claus!"  Haha!  So I asked, "Do you want to sit on Santa's lap?"  She looked at me like I'd lost touch with reality!  "no."  :) First picture:  This is leftover from yesterday afternoon.  And we're continuing with the "cautious" theme.  I got out the two big bears and everyone had a blast with them.  Atley, Avi, and Svea dove right in the middle of them and were being rowdy.  You can see Linnea's approach.  "I'll just watch and wait for a few minutes until it all looks fairly safe." Next picture:  Check out Linnea's hair.  Lots of static electricity in those stuffed animals!!  I...

Linnea ate French toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of "Whole 30" chili with meat, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, peppers, tomato sauce, and lots of yummy spices.  The kids love this meal!!  She ate whole wheat dinner roll and tropical fruit. First picture from yesterday afternoon.  You've seen identical pictures of this recently because these two play this game every day.  Svea and Linnea had packed ALL the dolls, doll blankets, stuffed animals, and pillows to this spot and played under the blue balance beam for a long time.  Second picture; This morning they were right back to the same spot, same thing!!  Third picture; Then they decided to move everything to this cozy little spot.  They both worked really hard; but especially Svea.  Man she was focused and got right after it and didn't pause until it was completed.  Linnea finally just sat and waited for Svea to complete the job.  haha.  T...

Linnea ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of pork chop meat, ate whole wheat toast, beets, and applesauce. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon and this is pretty classic Svea and Linnea playing together - or near each other.  :)  They each have a phone and are busy making calls, updating information, and texting friends.  Haha.  Well maybe just calls - which is all these old phones had the capability to do. Next picture: Linnea and Svea both had to get on the floor and be near Baby Miles.  Linnea sure loves Miles and like I've mentioned several times he's the first one she asks about when she comes.  "Where Miles at?"  He's coming.  Following picture: Isn't this the cutest picture?!?  She has her own baby here and was reading books to the baby.  So cute.  Last picture: Linnea had on a hat and some dress-up boots.  Mis-matched boots, but she didn...

Linnea ate whole wheat Chex cereal and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef mixed with avocado, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomatoes, and mandarin oranges.  At meal times Avi and Atley frequently ask about where the food comes from.  Today they were focusing on meat.  So we talked about all the different kinds of animals that humans eat.  Linnea  was listening and totally made this connection; "My Dad goes hunting."  I was impressed. The first two pictures are left over from Friday afternoon, but I don't want to waste a couple of good pictures!!  First - This was so sweet.  Linnea and Svea were laying with their babies and Svea was saying, "good night baby, good night baby, good night."  They are both smiling so sweetly.  Second picture; Laying with Baby Miles.  This morning she wasn't here very long before she asked if Miles was coming.  :) Next picture: Linnea was pl...

Linnea ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, a large serving of whole wheat elbow noodles, most of green beans, and ate applesauce. These first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon.  Linnea and Svea were perched up on the play sinks and cupboards playing with the ice cream cones and cups.  Then in the second picture they'd went and got some stuffed animals and were now totally focused on their phones.  I like how Linnea has her feet in the sink and Svea is sitting on her left leg. Next two pictures:  Atley and Linnea have some puzzles on the legos table and were working to finish those.  When Atley arrived (Linnea was already here) all Atley wanted to do was run back and forth across the room a bunch of times and Linnea was working hard to keep up.  She'd almost get to where Atley was at and then away Atley would run.  Following picture:  I guess they were looking for specific legos because ...

Linnea ate whole wheat bagel and ate peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger and sausage pizza with the two meats, olives, pineapple, tomato sauce, and peppers.  She ate whole wheat pizza crust (served separately), and ate pineapple on the side. A notice for everyone - you might see a slight difference in time of Blog Postings.  Today is Callahan's first birthday so it's Blog Time for Cal.  So now I'm doing 5 Blogs.  I actually love doing them; especially for families out of town. Here are some pictures from Linnea's morning.  First picture; she had two of the shakers in the ice cube tray and she was telling Atley these are her "popsicles."  :)  Second picture: Looks like Linnea is taking some kind of measurement to build some clothes for Svea.  :)  (I like how that sounds; build some clothes. Ha) Next picture: Now instead of popsicles Linnea has a stack of 8 ice cream flavors piled on top of her ...

Linnea ate whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, ate whole wheat tortillas, sweet potatoes, and fruit salad. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  Both of these kiddos were wearing the dress-up hats and I liked how Linnea had her hat turned up.  Love this picture. Next picture;  I'm glad Lauralea suggested I put puzzles in the Daycare room so the little ones had access too.  The only reason I didn't put puzzles out there sooner was because the babies love to chew on them and several of the puzzle pieces have little "handles" (this puzzle does not) that are perfect to suck on!!  Initially Linnea was asking me for help with this one, and I resisted...Ha...and she did the entire thing by herself.  Nice job Linnea. Next picture:  Linnea was copying what she'd just seen Atley doing.  Building a "birthday cake" and singing, "Happy birthday to ME , happy bir...

Linnea ate whole wheat English muffin and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she chicken stir fry,  brown rice, and ate mandarin oranges. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I just thought it was cute when they were looking like twins wearing the same vest and putting on some boots.  Svea realized I was taking a picture of them and she got the biggest cutest cheesy grin on her face.  :) Next picture: This made me laugh.  Atley went inside the igloo (still in there when I took the picture) and Linnea quickly grabbed the dress-up shawl and said, "I'm gonna hide her, I'm gonna hide her."  Haha!  Well maybe you need a bigger shawl or blanket!!  They like hanging blankets or whatever over the entrance hole to "hide." Last picture:  Linnea was playing with these "birthday candles" and singing, "Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to Mom...uhhh..me, happy birthday to me."  That made me laugh; she first...

Linnea ate cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, half of whole wheat pita bread, ate avocado, bites of tomatoes, and ate a large serving of strawberries. Well we did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the kids were busy all morning.  However, first order of business, gotta get Linnea's hair in a ponytail!!  A bit different than just the side ponytail I always do.  :)  Then she went to the mirror to check it out. Next two pictures - the girl loves her dress-up clothes.  There are several different vests in this set she was trying on and I love how she's wearing a shawl in the second picture.  It makes a perfect wrap-around skirt!  :) Last two pictures - Atley is standing there with her mouth open patiently waiting for Linnea to come back with a bite of her cake.  Haha.  She finally did, but it actually took probably almost a half minute.  :)

Linnea ate brown rice and most of raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pollack fish, whole wheat dinner roll, riced cauliflower, and mangoes. Here's what Linnea does almost every morning (and she did it today) as soon as Daddy Eric drops her off; She immediately goes to the window and says, "When's my Dad gonna come?"  Haha.  Well you just saw him like 1 minute ago so we have to wait!!  Actually, to be totally accurate, the FIRST thing she does - "I gotta go potty."  Ok, do you wanna wave bye to Daddy first?  "Yes." So this first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  (Linnea is frequently gone before it starts to get dusk, but she was here later yesterday.)  The kids all had a flashlight and we turned out the lights and they had fun with that.  Linnea is on the right, standing on the blue balance beam.  Atley is blinding herself in the far corner, Avi on the left looking for spiders on the ceiling, and Svea is shining ...

Linnea ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, large serving of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and ate applesauce. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Svea and Linnea asked for the sunglasses and then they went to the window and they were looking around outside; maybe for the sun?!?  :)  Sun or no sun, they were having fun and laughing like crazy. Next 2 pictures.  I'm not sure what Linnea and Atley were doing, just laying on their tummies and looking over the edge of the precipice!  Ha!  Following picture: I was impressed how well Linnea kept up with Atley pushing this chair around and around as fast as her little legs could go!!  After a couple of minutes Linnea said to Atley, "I'm still dizzy, are you?"  Then they played chase and while they were running Linnea was saying, "We're gonna go fast, we're gonna go fast!"  These pictures (and...

Linnea arrived after breakfast time and Grandma said Linnea had eaten breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of "hearty paleo stew" with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, cauliflower, and broccoli.  She also ate crackers and a large serving of tropical fruit. This first picture is leftover from yesterday afternoon.  Linnea was playing with the drums and then tried to insert both drums sticks in her mouth.  Silly kid.  I obviously discourage this, but some kids are more oral than others so that's the way it goes.  :) Next picture; Linnea started running with Atley back and forth across the room the moment she arrived.  They were standing on the yellow bench counting - preparing to run - "1 2 3 4 7 8 9 ..."  and away they'd go.  In the following picture Atley was showing Linnea how to work the shape sorter; although Linnea does it just fine by herself.  I guess Svea decided it was more fun to use the bucket for a hat. N...
