Linnea's Journal

Linnea ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, bites of whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and mangoes.  At breakfast Linnea was trying to interpret whatever it was Svea was saying.  Well I couldn't understand anything Linnea was saying either!!  I said, "Sorry, I don't know what you're talking about."  Linnea looked at Svea and said, "Gary doesn't know what you're talking about."  I laughed so hard. Note leftover from yesterday at Snack Time.  Lauralea sat on my lap (facing outward and grinning at the kids) and none of the kids could even see me!  Svea and Linnea were not sure if that was a good idea.  Linnea had a super serious look on her face and never did smile.  Avi and Atley were loving it and laughing SO hard.  You can see a picture I posted on Avi's Blog.  Svea said, "Don't sit on Gary."  Then she added, "You goofy."  Haha. Linnea ate half of whole wheat English muffin and two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate some ground beef, some whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. Today it was Linnea's turn to realize Callahan is walking!!  Ha!  "Gary! Cal's walking!! Cal's walking Gary!!  (No, actually Cal was not walking Gary. He forgot my leash.)  This is how it always happens with this age group!!  And it always makes me laugh! First two pictures; The kids were waving bye to a parent. About the same time the neighbor across the street came out to walk his boys to school.  Their little black puppy always tags along and the kids love watching it.  As you can see by the following picture it is a cutie.  The puppy came right up below the window and that's the first time it's done that.  And of course the kids all loved it.  They were all thumping on the window and the puppy was excited. Linnea ate French toast and ate strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate Paleo Stew with meat, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes, and green beans.  She also ate saltines and three servings of tropical fruit. First picture - Just about every day Svea comes to show me her legos creation!  "Look what I made! Look what I made!"  Today Linnea joined her in some legos project of her own. This next picture is pretty cute.  Atley is really the only kid that talks about Callahan walking.  Here she is watching his progress.  I like the contrast with Linnea to the left.  Linnea was WAY more interested in her bandaid than anything else happening in the room.  Haha!  Atley had (again) yelled out the news;  "Cal is walking!! Cal is walking!!" Last two pictures; Hanging out with two different babies.  One just happens to be a bit more cooperative!!  And she can stick it in her purse when necessary!!  :) ...

Linnea ate three servings of waffle and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of chicken, no whole wheat tortillas, ate corn, and baked cinnamon apples. I took this first picture yesterday afternoon when Linnea was trying to put on the dress-up jersey.  That would be the arm hole Linnea and it's not quite big enough for your head!!  :) Next picture: Linnea and Atley running first thing this morning.  Atley said, "I'll be the unicorn and you be the dragon."  (That's the stuffed animals they are carrying.)  Next picture:   Linnea was playing with the two school buses, but she's not watching so Cal made a clean swipe!!  Good job Cal!  Now you better  run !!!  Haha!! Linnea ate two servings of kix cereal and three servings of mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of turkey burger, bite of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomatoes, avocado, and cherries. First two pictures;  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and when Linnea came in this morning she didn't even make it past the dress-up clothes for the first several minutes!!  Haha!  First picture; she has on two shirts (jerseys - it's a sports theme) and two pairs of shorts.  I'm posting the second picture because I thought Momma Becca would be happy to see Linnea's interest in Soccer!!  Or at least Soccer shoes!!  Hahahaha! Linnea ate French toast and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pulled pork, half of whole wheat toast, ate peas, and strawberries. First picture; This is kind of a morning ritual when Linnea and Atley are the earliest arrivals.  "Let's run Linnea!!!  Let's run!!"  Back and forth across the room they go.  :)  Second picture: And when you run you get thirsty!!  :)  So this is the second part of the morning ritual; Atley getting Linnea's water bottle.  Thanks for being a good helper Atley! Next picture: I just thought it was cute how Svea and Linnea had situated themselves to read on the couch.  Love this picture.  Last picture: What are you doing Atley?  "Fixing Linnea's hair."  :)  Actually I think she was pretending to wash and rinse it at this point.  (She probably knows more about what happens in a Salon than what I know!!  Haha!!)

Linnea ate whole wheat toast, two servings of mangoes and ate banana for breakfast.  (We ran out of mangoes so we substituted bananas for second servings.)  For lunch she ate most of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of whole wheat spaghetti noodles.  She ate cauliflower and her fruit salad. To anyone following Linnea's Daily Blog:  There will be NO Blog tomorrow, February 20th, as I have to report to Jury Duty tomorrow morning.  It's in Municipal Court so I don't anticipate this lasting more than a day at the most.  (Hopefully!) I was asking Linnea a question and Atley piped up with this remark - "You always say it too quiet Linnea."  (Atley has obviously heard me mention how quiet Linnea talks!)  Linnea didn't appreciate that assessment and said to Atley; "No I don't!! You do!!"  LOL!  And of course Atley responded with; "No I don't!!"  That exchange was hilarious to me!!  (Volume has never been an issue for Atley! ...

Linnea ate whole wheat bagel and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, whole wheat toast, stir fry vegetables, and two servings of raspberries. I burned the brown rice so we substituted toast for lunch.  Atley said, "I don't like that smell!!"  It was pretty rank, I agree!  :) First picture - Linnea had the dolls and doll blankets on the couch taking care of her babies.  She is feeding the baby some pizza in the first picture.  In the second picture she was getting up on the couch and saying, "I wanna look at pictures of Gideon."  Haha!  Me too!  So we did. Next picture: The four girls; Avi, Atley, Linnea, and Svea barricaded themselves in the igloo.  Or maybe it was built to keep Callahan out!  He really didn't want to be in the igloo anyhow!!  He was way more fixated on attaining one of the flashlights they had.  And that is what he was reaching for around the blocks when I took this ...

Linnea ate cream of wheat cereal and most of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of a chicken combination with cabbage, sweet potatoes, and Brussel sprouts.  She ate a large serving of brown rice and a large serving of pineapple. First picture: Atley and Linnea were the only ones here when I took this first picture.  They were pretending to sleep and Atley was jabbering constantly.  Saying things like; "Going to get up at 1417."  "Now I'm gonna put medicine and vitamins in my mouth!"  Haha! Next picture: Linnea and Svea were hard at work side-by-side building with the legos.  Callahan tried to squeeze in a couple of times, but they were able to thwart his efforts! Ha!  (Thwart - that's a funny sounding word!) Last picture: Always have to have a picture of Linnea with one of her babies.  When I took this picture I could hear her saying, "My Baby has a cold."  Ha!  Well that baby will fit right in her...

Linnea ate three servings of waffles and three servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate turkey meat loaf, whole wheat tortillas, sweet potatoes, and ate her cherries. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  Svea is on the top shelf and she was pretending to nap.  Linnea was asking; "Are you cold?"  Svea said, "Yes."  Linnea said, "I'm gonna cover you up."  :) Next picture: Callahan is watching Atley and Linnea again.  They were playing on the block shelf.  You can see Linnea's feet sticking out past the tower of blocks.In the second picture Linnea and Svea were doing some more "skiing."  They were also doing this activity yesterday. Last picture: All four girls had on an animal suit, or at least wearing one like a jacket.  Avi is the dominant animal of the pack, on the left, and she's helping Svea into her leopard jacket!!  Atley is the lioness and Linnea is the lowly frog.  Five ...

Linnea ate two servings of French toast and three servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of Whole 30 Chili with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, tomato sauce, and spices.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of tropical fruit. First two pictures go together - Atley asked Linnea if she wanted to help toss all the stuffed animals off the mattress.  (That's a daily ritual so they can jump!)  And you can see in the picture where the girls piled the stuffed animals and then couldn't resist the nice cozy bed they'd created!!  :) Next picture: Linnea was playing with the food toys again today and using the pizza cutter to take care of her pizza.  Following picture:  This is her response when I asked her if she cut a piece of pizza for  Baby Miles.  :) Last picture; Linnea is keeping an eye on her friend Svea!  Svea likes to drape dress-up clothes or doll blankets over head ...

Linnea ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate some pork roast, most of whole wheat toast, most of beets, and ate two servings of applesauce. First picture: Linnea was absent yesterday so this is "toy exchange Monday" for her.  She was exploring everything and Callahan was there to offer any assistance she needed.  And some assistance she didn't need or want!!  :) Linnea was a busy girl all morning exploring the toys.  Here she is with the food toys.  Some of these pizzas are new and they have little velcro spots on them to stick some mushrooms, pepperonis, or whatever else there is.  Linnea was playing with these and singing, "Happy Birthday" so there was obviously a party happening!!  :) Next picture: And of course we can't forget about all the books!!  Lots of books to read and look at.  Last picture: I've labeled this one; "The Park Bench - A place to nap."  :)

Linnea ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, maybe one or two green beans, and ate her applesauce. First picture; The four girls were working hard to build a block wall.  And Cal is actually in this picture too, just hard to see!  He's directly behind Linnea, but if you zoom in you can see his hand just beyond Linnea's hands. Next picture: Callahan is watching Linnea again.  She was feeding her baby and playing with the food toys.  I think Cal's doing very well here NOT grabbing toys that the other kids are playing with.  Of course they yell too so he's picking up cues from them as well.  :)  Linnea might have another opinion on how well Cal is doing!!  Haha!! Last picture; At the mirror with Svea.  I think Linnea was checking out her nose!!  I'd just wiped it and she headed right for the mirror.  :)
