Linnea - 3/12/2020

Image
Linnea ate three servings of French toast and three servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of chicken, most of whole wheat toast, no broccoli, and ate pineapple. First picture: This is left over from yesterday afternoon, but I thought I'd show the two prize fighters. It was a heck of a battle, but they are both smiling now! Next picture: Once again Linnea is singing to her baby.  And she was patting it's head.  Following picture; Callahan was watching Linnea put on the piggy mask and I love his reaction.  He was getting a big charge out of it!  We've actually had children in the past that were afraid of the masks and we had to remove the masks from that toy exchange and try again at a later date. Last picture; The game that never gets old; playing dead.  Shortly before I took this picture Atley said, "Linnea, see if you can catch me when I die."  Haha.  Whatever that means.

Linnea ate three servings of waffles and three servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate whole 30 chili with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and peppers.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and two servings of tropical fruit. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when the three girls on the mattress were "playing dead."  Again!  As I mentioned a few days ago, this is a very normal game for kids even though it may seem a bit morbid to adults.  Avi had been on the blue balance beam and dramatically fell off dead.  She was yelling at Svea; "Watch me!!  I'm gonna teach you how to die, ok??!! Watch me!!"  Haha. The pictures from today were taken fairly early this morning when Linnea and Atley were doing lots of play together.  Linnea is getting more brave all the time; Just a week or two ago she would have  never  got up on the igloo with someone else up there!!  In the following picture A...

Linnea ate half of whole wheat English muffin and three servings of grapes for breakfast,  For lunch she ate pork roast, whole wheat toast, beets, and two servings of applesauce. First picture; Linnea wanted to wear the "goat mask" and said, "Hey Gary, can you put this on me?" Cal was super intrigued by the mask and followed her around so he could study it closely.  She got off the couch and went to the mirror, then the mattress and he was right behind her following along. Linnea also wanted Lauralea to see it; "Hey, where is Lauralea?!?"  Ha! Next picture; Hanging out with Cal and Svea.  I think this was a strategy meeting; making plans for the day!  "How can we sabotage the Preschool kids!?!"  Ha.  Last picture: Reading books beside Svea.  I like how they are looking at each other's books!

Linnea ate bites of Chex cereal and three servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of ground beef, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate avocado, tomatoes, and two servings of mandarin oranges. Just about every day I ask all the kids, "What'd you do last night?"  Or on Mondays; "What'd you do this weekend?"  Over half of the time the answer is "I don't know."  Haha.  So today, "Linnea what'd you do this weekend?"  She started talking about "Disneyland" and the "Dumbo Ride."  (I think that's what she said!!)  That was pretty comical because it's essentially the first time she's talked about the "Disneyland Trip."  Haha. We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the first picture is where Linnea started; with the dress-up clothes.  Ha!  That's pretty typical for her.  She also noticed "Cal walking, Gary, Cal walking!"  Yup he's still ...

Linnea ate oatmeal and ate dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, no whole wheat elbow noodles, most of green beans, and ate applesauce. First picture;  Hey she's getting more brave all the time.  Standing tall and talking to Lauralea.  "Hey watch me Lauralea, watch me!!"  In the second picture; Linnea was just enjoying the texture of the slide and running her hands up and down it and over the "ribs." Next picture; Svea was reading books (upside-down) and Linnea joined her on the couch.  Svea was trying to keep reading and Linnea kept trying to give Svea a phone and saying, "Somebody calling you! Somebody calling you!"  :) Last picture;  Linnea said, "I wanna say hi to Miles."  So she crawled up beside him and of course very quickly two more were vying for his attention as well!!  And Miles is focused on me!!  He knows who gives him some food around here and it's not any of these other people. ...

Linnea ate two servings of "multi-grain sandwich thin" (store out of whole wheat bagels), and three servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork roast, whole wheat tortillas, diced red potatoes, and two servings of fruit salad. First picture; I fixed Linnea's hair and the first thing she did was grab a baby, some blankets, and head to the mattress.  When I took the picture Linnea was listening to what Lauralea was saying.  :)  Linnea spent a huge majority of her morning with the dolls.  :) Next two pictures; More time with her baby.  She's reading a book to her baby.  (Did you see where Linnea has the baby situated beside her?)  Following picture; Ok, so much for story time, let's take a nap.  :)  You can see Linnea's feet, Linnea's head, and the baby's head.  :) Last picture; Svea and Linnea both play extremely well doing "independent play."  They both enjoy group activities and playing with others as...

Linnea ate bites of whole wheat toast and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger and sausage pizza with meat, peppers, pineapple, olives, and tomato sauce.  No whole wheat pizza crust and she ate two servings of pineapple on the side. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I liked how Linnea got all cozy on the couch and was reading to her baby.  This is a "Frozen" book and when I took this picture Linnea was singing, "Let it go." Next picture: Atley and Linnea were taking the stuffed animals from the mattress to the top of the blocks and lining them up.  This has been their daily ritual this week. Next picture - Cal is doing one of his favorite activities here; moving the swivel chair around and playing a game that looks like a cross between peek-a-boo and "can't catch me!!"  Haha.  The funniest part is that Linnea didn't even realize she is a participant.  Haha!  He was peeking aro...

Linnea ate whole wheat English muffin and most of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken mixed with stir fry vegetables, ate brown rice, and ate mandarin oranges. I took this first picture after Cal and Linnea were waving bye at their Daddies and brothers!  I asked Linnea; "Hey have you noticed that Callahan is walking now?"  She said, "Nope."  And that is most likely the truth!!  Haha!  However, she did notice a nasty smell.  "Cal is poopy Gary!"  Thank you Linnea!  Actually I think that's the first time Linnea has mentioned a "smell."  She's at the age when I start hearing about different smells from the kids as their sense of smell develops way more fully about this time period!! Next picture: Yup, you're getting more brave Linnea!!  Judging from the grin I'd say she's proud of herself.  :) These next two pictures made me laugh.  I was listening to Atley read to Linnea.  Atley said, "He's...

Linnea ate cheerios and ate banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, no whole wheat pita bread, ate olives, avocado, and three servings of strawberries. First two pictures are left over from Friday afternoon.  As you can see Svea was on one leg on the blocks and she was saying, "Ta-Da! Ta-Da!"  Linnea was cracking up.  Following picture: Then they had the sunglasses and were checking those out in front of the mirror.  :) Next picture:  Lauralea rode the bus this morning and the kids always wave bye to her out the window.  :)  (She moves along the row and says "bye" to everyone - I just happened to take the picture when she'd stopped in front of Cal.)  Last picture: We were playing a "don't talk to me" game.  They were playing it first and then I started saying, "Don't talk to me" and whirl around to look at them and they obviously thought it was hilarious.  They were both laughing so hard and it was awesome. ...
