Linnea's Journal

Linnea ate most of whole wheat toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, most of cauliflower, and a large serving of fruit salad. This first picture made me laugh!  Callahan looks like he thinks it's funny too!!  :)  Atley kept saying, "peekaboo" and pulling her dress up over her face.  Linnea was trying to do it too, but her shirt was not nearly as loose as Atley's dress!!  :) It was SO much fun to watch Svea and Linnea playing together side-by-side this morning!!  They aren't able to express how much they miss each other when absent, but boy their behavior sure expresses that!!  They were simply joyful this morning for the first 30 minutes!!  In the next picture they had several dolls they were attending to!  Linnea spotted Lauralea and said, "Got a baby Lauralea!!" Linnea ate whole wheat cream of wheat and most of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of baked beef kabobs with meat, pineapple, zucchini, and peppers.  She ate brown rice and more pineapple on the side.  This first picture was at breakfast time.  You know you've got the cream of wheat too runny when it works good to use a straw!!  Haha!  (Actually it worked good! And much less tedious than feeding it to her with a spoon!)  It was too runny to begin with and then I used some milk to cool it off!! Next picture: The next two are left over from yesterday afternoon.  Linnea was "feeding" Cal with the food toys and I like how Linnea is almost laying on her side to feed him.  Following picture: the kids were playing in the tunnels.  You can see Linnea bending down to talk to Svea and they were talking back and forth.  Avi, on the other hand, was very busy making sure everyone was following proper protocol!!  Haha!...

Linnea ate two servings of waffles and two servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shepherd's pie with meat, potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, and carrots.  She ate whole wheat tortillas, and cherries. This first picture is leftover from yesterday afternoon.  Linnea might be a year plus three months younger, but Nora was thrilled to just kick back, suck her thumb, and ride up and down the sidewalk!! ha!  Avi was complaining because Linnea is not yet an experienced driver when meeting someone on the sidewalk.  "You gotta move!!"  Ha! Next picture: A BIG moment at Little Treasures!  Linnea has building up to this for several weeks now.  Actually "jumping" off the balance beam onto the mattress.  I usually have to coach them to stand on the yellow part (see picture), but Linnea totally was doing that on her own.  Good decision Linnea.  At first she'd just squat and bounce like she was really gonna jump big!...

Linnea ate two servings of French toast and ate a large serving of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate whole 30 chili with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, and tomato sauce.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and ate tropical fruit. First picture: Svea and Linnea did lots of playing side by side and together this morning!  One of those times they were stacking blocks next to each other, but they worked on their own tower.  I'm not sure what they'd spotted outside when I took this picture, but something grabbed their interest.  Obviously something only they could see; because I couldn't see anything!!  :) Next picture; Linnea has obviously been listening to the "older" girls and what they say when chasing around and around the mattress!  Right before I took this picture she was saying, "mark set go, mark set go!"  :)  Then in the following picture she had on dress-up clothes and she said, "I go, I go."  Where are ...

Linnea ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork chop, bites of whole wheat toast, ate beets, and applesauce. We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend so everything was different stuff for Linnea to explore.  First picture: I'm always interested in what they play with first; is it a favorite or just happen to be the first interesting thing?  She has a music box and played with two of them.  Then she never touched it again all morning.  :)  Second picture; Linnea was helping Callahan sort through all of the baby toys in this basket.  :)  She actually put almost all of them back into the basket. Next picture: Atley is "driving" the car; she was madly "turning" the steering wheel when I took the picture.  Linnea said, "We go bye, we go bye."  Atley said they were "going to a bike race."  Ha. Linnea ate whole wheat bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger and sausage pizza with peppers, pineapple, and olives; she ate whole wheat pizza crust.  She also ate pineapple on the side. First picture: Linnea was waving bye to Nora's Dad along with Atley and Nora.  Ryan has had this pickup for several months, but it's still NEW here!!  As soon as he drives around the corner Atley always says the same thing; "He's got a NEW truck!!"  Second picture:  Atley is giving Linnea some pointers on finding minuscule fuzzies on the floor!  Atley is actually quite amazing at finding something dropped or missing.  She's my "go-to" girl when I can't locate something!! Linnea ate two servings of whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she had bites of pork roast, ate whole wheat tortillas, most of potato/sweet potato, and ate fruit salad. Ok Momma Becca, I don't know what kind of birthday outing you and your daughter had yesterday, but it was obviously a dandy!!  :)  Linnea was wiped out after Daddy dropped her off so at 8:30 I asked if she'd like to lay on her nap mat.  And she did.  First picture:  This was right at breakfast time, about 9:00 and Nora had just arrived.  Avi couldn't wait to drag Nora in to show her that Linnea was napping!  Ha!  She got up at 9:10 (on her own) and was back to her normal self.  Atley looked at Linnea and exclaimed, "She's not crying!!"  :) Next picture: Linnea and Svea played in close proximity to each other all morning.  I couldn't believe how long Svea tolerated Linnea "combing" her hair!!  Impressive!  It we...

Linnea ate cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of ground beef, bites of whole wheat pita bread, ate olives, bites of avocado, and ate watermelon. We had a wonderful vacation; I took a good hike every day for 8 days straight and my favorite hikes were on the continental divide trail in different locations. We did tons of reading and played several board games and card games. There was no cell service at the Forest Service cabin or electricity so it was like the "good old days." (Haha! Actually, these are the good days! I love modern living and technology!!) Everyone was giddy and silly this morning - as it usually is coming back from several days away!  So of course there had to be a surprise bonus to the morning; A Representative from Child Care State Licensing made a surprise appearance.  :)  She had to look at the Children's files, my Policies, Master Phone List, Fire Evacuation Plan, Disaster Plan, Visually Inspect every room the childr...

Linnea ate waffle and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and ate most of baked cinnamon apples. First picture: As soon as I laid Callahan on the floor Linnea went over and you can see she was offering him the string on her shorts.  Which was just fine until he actually managed to grab it and start yanking on it!  Haha! Next picture: Linnea was playing with the "toaster" and putting "pancakes" in it!  The kids like this toy because there is a button you push down and that loads the spring.  Then another button releases the spring and sends the toast several inches into the air.  :)  But the primary reason for this picture is to show off her two ponytails!  haha!  Following picture:  Linnea is just standing still while Nora attaches a headband around Linnea's neck.  :)  (Just in case anyone is wondering I did fix Nora's crazy hair too!  Ha!) Linnea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, whole wheat hamburger bun, bites of tomatoes, ate avocado, and ate cherries. We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and here's the first thing Linnea chose to do; read some books.  :)  Even before I fixed her hair! Next picture: Well she moved on to dolls after I put a ponytail in her hair.  I tried pulling all her hair (from the top and sides) back and it's long enough to do a real cute ponytail.  As you can see she has at least three babies to take care of and she's busy feeding them some orange juice!  :)  She was also busy giving them lots of loves and wrapping them in the blankets.  Following picture: Well it was nice while it lasted!!  Linnea decided to rearrange her hairdo a little bit!!  :)   Last Picture:  Linnea was sitting on the end of the little slide munching on a "strawberry" and Svea was squeezing in ...
