Linnea's Journal

Linnea ate waffle and two servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate baked beef kabobs with meat, zucchini, peppers, and pineapple.  She ate her brown rice and also some more pineapple on the side. Linnea was the only child here for at least 30 minutes this morning and we had fun - mostly snuggling!  Ha!!  She loves her morning snuggles!  Lauralea and I used to call it; "filling their little love tanks!"  The first picture is a selfie that I think is adorable.  Lauralea had to be out of town last night so Linnea and I did a video to say "hi Lauralea!"  I had it in selfie mode, but of course that made no sense to Linnea; "Say, Hi Lauralea!"  Where!?!  I don't see Lauralea!!  Ok, "Say, Hi Linnea!"  Now that made sense!  She was looking at Linnea!  Ha!  She said, "Hi Nay Nay."  And we sent it to Lauralea! Linnea ate two servings of French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate "Whole 30" chili with meat, sweet potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, and tomato sauce.  She ate most of whole wheat dinner roll, and ate tropical fruit. I was trying to get Linnea to wave at Momma this morning, but she was pretty busy with her finger in her nose!!  Then she showed me her finger saying, "a-boog, a-boog, a-boog."  Ha!  Also at the window Atley was confiding in Linnea about her "potty troubles" from last night!  "Linnea, my pee pee just leaked out!!"  Linnea just looked at her.  Haha!  "And why are you telling me this!?!?" Linnea ate toasted and buttered whole wheat bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork chops (mixed with her applesauce), bites of whole wheat toast, ate sweet potatoes, and applesauce. Ok, brace yourself folks because we have some poop to talk about!!  It's kind of a popular subject around here lately so I have to share the poop humor from today!!  This isn't really about Linnea, but she does have a part in the story!!  Atley went poop first thing this morning and Linnea was the only other child here at that time.  Atley said, "I want Linnea to see my poop!!"  Haha!  No, she hasn't reached the legal poop viewing age yet!!  Then Atley looked at her poop and said, "Corn!!"  Haha!!  So later in the morning Atley pooped again with the same results, but this time Nora and Avi were here to inspect and appreciate the results!  Avi looked in the water, saw the corn and said, "Who dropped it in there!?!" ...

Linnea ate whole grain Chex cereal and ate peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of ground beef, half of whole wheat hamburger bun, bite of tomatoes (maybe), most of avocado, and ate fruit salad. This is primarily about Svea, but Linnea figures prominently into the story as well - near the end of the paragraph.  I was quickly reminded how I need to protect the newest and smallest infant when other babies are around!!  I was changing Linnea and I looked over and Svea was standing on Gideon - on his tummy.  He didn't care and wasn't making a sound!!  He's a tuff little fella, didn't cry, and made Grandpa proud!!  Haha!  However, with Baby Callahan starting on this Friday it was a GREAT reminder!!  Svea was touching the wall to balance and just standing there looking down at him.  At that age another child is no different than another toy!!  I got kind of spoiled with Linnea because she was the gentlest one ever with Svea!! ...

Linnea ate whole wheat bagel toasted and buttered and ate two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger & sausage pizza with peppers, pineapple, olives, and tomato sauce.  She ate whole wheat crust, and ate all of her pineapple on the side.  Just a reminder: There is will be no Blogs tomorrow and back on Monday!! So when you see it several times you know it's something they do over and over and something they love!  I fix her hair and she immediately sprints for the chair, BUT she always has to take a look in the mirror too!  Of course, I always say, "You're SO pretty!!"  So maybe that encourages the look in the mirror too!!  Haha!!  She's so much fun and she's a GREAT kid! Linnea ate whole wheat toast and three serving of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, most of whole wheat tortillas, ate her vegetables (potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots), and ate fruit salad. Linnea was thumping on the window hard "waving" bye to Daddy this morning and she finally said, "Owww!"  And then just looked at her hand as if to say, "What's myself doing!?!"  :) First picture - some days they just pick some random toys they've not played with before, or at least for a long time.  I haven't seen Linnea play with these dinosaurs.  Today she piled all of them on the couch and when I took the picture she was sticking her finger into the mouth of one of them.  :)  Second picture;  This totally made me laugh!!  Linnea was at the dress-up rack putting on some boots.  Then she reached up and stuck her arm in the sleeve of one of the shirts still hanging!!  So now she's stuck!!  She's looking at ...

Linnea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and most of her dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of chicken with stir fry vegetables, ate half of brown rice, and ate oranges. I want to give everyone a heads-up about what's coming at the end of this week.  This Saturday is the Memorial in Plains for my Mom and we have both of my kids and their families coming on Thursday and Friday.  I'm going to have the Daycare open as usual and the only change will be NO BLOGS on Friday!  That will help free up more time during Daycare hours on Friday as it might be slightly busy around here!!  Ha!!  Can't wait!! Linnea ate a large serving of cheerios and ate banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat pita bread, olives, bites of tomato, ate avocado, and ate strawberries. I was putting in my hearing aids and I got down on my knees so Linnea could watch.  She's kind of fascinated by it all; "ears, ears, ears."  Right in the middle of that a song came on about Elmo; "Elmo, Elmo Elmo."  My ears were totally forgotten!  Ha!  Well maybe not totally; she was holding a play phone up to my ear saying, "hello, hello, hello." Lauralea was putting on her coat and said she was leaving for work.  Linnea said, "boot, boot, boot."  She's been watching Lauralea put on her boots every day this winter before she leaves.  "Boot, boot, boot."  Lauralea decided to be brave and wear her shoes Linnea.  That was SO cute and smart too! Linnea ate some brown rice and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of salmon, half of whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and mangoes. Linnea went to sleep so fast today!  Her head hit the pillow at nap time and I think she was asleep in about 2 minutes at the most.  Speaking of nap, the routine is quite a bit different this week and I think I've forgotten, or almost forgotten her pacifier every day!  Poor Baby.  She gets this very forlorn and pitiful look on her face and that reminds me I'm screwing up somehow!!  Ha!  Oh I forgot it again Linnea!! Linnea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and two servings of oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce. First picture: This is leftover from yesterday afternoon, but these kids were all having fun and I always get a kick out of it when the "older" ones get the "younger" ones to do all the work!  Nora and Linnea were working hard to spin the chair going around and around.  Avi and Atley were chanting; "Red light, Green light" when they wanted Linnea and Nora to "go" and "stop."  Linnea and Nora didn't have a clue, but did know "Stop" and "Go" when Atley changed it to that.  Ha!  "Red Light" and "Green Light" is very fresh in Atley's brain from "ski school!"  They use that to teach the kids how to stop! Linnea ate two servings of French toast and ate strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of hearty paleo stew with meat, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, green beans, and tomatoes.  She also ate crackers and tropical fruit. This paragraph is probably more about Avi, but we talked about all the Mommies.  During Story Time we were reading one of our Alphabet books; and we have LOTS of them!!  We got to "M" and talked about everyone who's name starts with "M" and mentioned some Mommies including Hudson's Mommy.  "Molly, Megan, Maddy."  Avi said, "Becca starts with B."  Yes it does and good job Avi!  I asked, "What does Emily start with?"  Avi thought for a moment and said, "M."  Wow, that is actually very good!  It says the letter M perfectly so we'll just leave it at that!  (Man our English language is nuts when it comes to spelling!!)  So, "Hi M-lee!!"  :) First picture;  Our morning ...

As I've mentioned many times Linnea loves the morning routines - actually she likes most of our routines!!  Linnea was reading books at the book rack, she heard the door open and she yelled, "Atley!!" and took off running around the corner to the gate.  So cute!!  She knows Atley is the one who usually arrives next and she yelled "Atley" way before she actually saw her.  And she was right - it was Atley. Linnea spotted Lauralea cleaning her fingernails and asked, "What doing?"  Wow.  She's pretty young to be asking questions!!  :)  I know, I know Momma Becca!!  She's super advanced right!!  :)  Just kidding!  I love you parents!  Everyone's child is brilliant!  But she really is young to ask that question or any question.  She's a smart lit...

Linnea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, bite or two of tomato, ate avocado, and ate cherries.  The kids watch the digital picture screen at meal times and always make sure I see the picture of Gideon and I.  When it came on today Linnea started chanting, "Gary Gary Gary Gary Gary."  So cute.  Lauralea heard it and was laughing too. I want to mention again about Child Care Resources (CCR) hosting free rides and free ice cream at the Carousel TOMORROW - Tuesday March 12,  5:30 - 7:00.  CCR is celebrating 50 Years in the community.
