Linnea's Journal

Linnea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce. I asked Linnea what she was going to be for halloween.  She said, "Spider."  Of course later she changed that to "alligator." Haha.  I asked her if she was gonna go trick or treat.  She said, "Yes, can you come with me?"  Haha!  So cute.  First picture:  This made me laugh!  Callahan was reaching for my computer and Linnea was very concerned about it!  She kept saying, "He's trying to get your pew-ter Gary, he's trying to get your pew-ter!! Linnea ate half of french toast and ate strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate whole 30 chili with meat, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, cauliflower, and spices.  She also ate crackers and two servings of tropical fruit. I took the first picture this morning when it was just Atley and Linnea here.  They were running and jumping and having fun.  Atley had just come off the top of the igloo and was getting some good bounce going!! I'm posting this next picture of her because I think it's cute!!  :)  I took this right after she was done eating breakfast and I'm obviously above her looking straight down.  Linnea was saying, "will you snuggle me, will you snuggle me, will you snuggle me?"  Well of course, I'd love too.  :) Last picture; Linnea and Svea were staying busy stacking legos - earlier it was the building blocks.

Linnea ate waffle and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortillas, corn, and two servings of applesauce. First picture: Linnea and Atley were stopping for a water break.  The moment Atley arrived these two were running back and forth across the room over and over.  And that makes a person thirsty!!  It was funny to watch them because Linnea kept taking shortcuts on every lap.  I call it "smart choices."  :) Next two pictures; This was pretty funny to watch!  Linnea had a bandaid on the big toe on her right foot.  She worked and worked to get the bandaid off, but to no avail.  Atley stayed right there the entire time itching to get her hands on that bandaid and pull it off for Linnea!  Finally Linnea gave Atley an opportunity.  She wasn't any more successful than Linnea.  It was stuck very tight!!  So I used some scissors on it and Linnea was totally fine with that. ...

Linnea ate two servings of kix cereal and ate mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey (mixed with avocado that I fed to her), ate whole wheat hamburger bun, bites of tomato, and ate cherries. First picture:  Linnea and Svea were stacking blocks and building several towers.   They began by just scattering the blocks like usual, but today they spent more time actually building with them.  Nice work girls. Next picture:  Avi built this using just the smaller block pieces.  She called it her "bridge."  Several minutes later Linnea was walking on it and said, "Your bridge is really neat."  Ha!  I loved that!  And so did Avilene!!  She said, "Linnea said my bridge is neat!!"  Haha!! Last picture:  I love it when the kids get so absorbed in their books.  Linnea was reading/singing when I took this picture.  It looks like she's practicing for the choir!!  :)

Linnea ate oatmeal and a couple bites of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, and tomatoes.  She ate bites of whole wheat dinner roll and ate a large serving of apricots. First picture;  I really like Linnea's halloween outfit today.  It's so cute!  Atley said, "I like your spooky spooky spooky shirt."  Then she noticed Linnea's pants as well.  "Spooky spooky spooky web!"  Haha! Linnea ate French toast and most of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of pulled pork, no whole wheat toast, ate peas, and strawberries. Here's a couple of things Linnea said this morning that made me laugh. "Hey Lauralea, I'm a superhero."  :) Linnea was trying to get Svea to do something.  She said, "Hey Svea, come on ."  It wasn't working and she turned to me and said, "Gary, she's not coming on ."  Hahaha. Linnea ate most of whole wheat toast and ate a large serving of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, riced cauliflower (I fed her), and two servings of fruit salad. First two pictures - I fixed Linnea's hair right after she arrived and she said, "Will you snuggle me?" Linnea ate two servings of whole wheat bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, and raspberries. I'm not going to mention Linnea's potty training progress every day, but she is doing awesome here at Little Treasures and I'm totally comfortable letting her go without a diaper except for nap time.  She is doing SO well with it and I'm seriously impressed!  Lauralea (talking to Linnea) said yesterday, "You're going potty just like the big girls."  Linnea said, "I AM a big girl."  (I'm not just like them, but I am one!!  Haha!) Linnea ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken (which I mixed with her avocado and fed her), ate whole wheat pita bread, bites of tomatoes, and ate pears. We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and like always everyone stayed busy.  In the first picture Linnea is playing with some of the new stuff.  She's putting "little people" in the school buses.  By the way I should mention that I didn't put a diaper on her when she came to Daycare and she stayed dry all morning.  Cheers.  Good work Linnea.  One of the times I took her potty Svea wanted to go along and witness the operation!  It will be a few weeks before we try that again.  Haha! Linnea ate most of whole wheat English muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork chop mixed with applesauce (which I fed to her), bite of whole wheat toast, and ate her beets. Lauralea had a few minutes to hang out with the kids before leaving for work and they enjoyed it.  It's been quite awhile since that happened!!  (About three different times Linnea said, "Hi Lor Lor.")  When I took the picture;  Atley was being snuggly and Callahan was reaching for Linnea's flashlight! Linnea ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, some whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce.  She wasn't eating her tilapia so I mixed it with her applesauce and fed it to her and she ate all of it.  I was feeding Callahan and Svea at the same time.  We were almost done and I unintentionally fed Linnea a bite of Callahan's food.  Ha! (Banana, Carrot, Mango mixed with Infant Cereal)  I immediately realized what I'd done and I was watching her face as it slowly grew into total disgust and then anger and howling!!  And the bite was coming back out of her mouth!!  She wasn't about to swallow that!!  She was unhappy with me.  :)  I totally did not mean to do that Linnea!  Avi realized what was happening and said, "Did you feed her Callahan's food!?!  Ha!  Well Linnea actually got over it quite quickly and even started giggling.  She said, "Nay Nay eat Callahan's food...

Linnea ate whole wheat bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger and sausage pizza, with the meat, peppers, pineapple, olives, and tomato sauce.  She ate whole wheat pizza crust (we serve it separately), and pineapple on the side. First picture is from yesterday afternoon right after nap time.  (Svea is still wearing her jammies.)  These two were looking at the book and I said something about the book being upside-down and Linnea started laughing.  So cute. This morning when I was fixing Linnea's hair this song came on; "Hey Diddle Diddle, the cat and the fiddle."  Linnea said, "The cat and the fiddle cat."  Haha!!  Next song has been a favorite around here for a long time because we've had 2 girls named "Nora" going back about 7 years.  "Nora Nora open the door, open the door Nora blue...."  The little girl is hiding in her room and won't come out.  About 3 notes into the song Linnea said...

Linnea ate half of whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch: she ate half of pork roast, half of whole wheat tortillas, ate hash browns, sweet potatoes, and a large serving of fruit salad. It was so nice to see Linnea this morning!!  Totally missed this sweet little girl.  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and of course she instantly said, "You got new toys, you got new toys."  First picture - She picked up this book and brought it to me saying, "mack mack mack."  Yup, that book is "Miss Mary Mack Mack Mack."  :)  We do toy exchanges every 2 weeks.  And we have 8 toy exchanges.  So she hasn't seen this book for over 16 weeks.  Nice job of remembering the name!!! There is a tune which accompanies this book so that's helps with remembering - especially for "song kids" like Linnea and Atley!!
