Linnea's Journal

Linnea ate oatmeal and apple pieces for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, tomatoes, and green beans.  She also ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of apricots. Yesterday afternoon probably 30 minutes after you guys picked up Linnea and left on your bicycle, it started to rain.  That really caused Atley to be concerned.  It was SO sweet!!  She said, "I hope Eric, Becca, and Linnea don't get wet.  And Anders."  :)  That was so thoughtful Atley. First picture:  Nothing too much to say about this picture; other than these three were just having fun giggling and enjoying each other.  Following picture: The kids love the mirrors!!  They set up their "horsey rides" so they could watch themselves in the mirror!  I tried for several minutes to get a picture with all 4 of these kids on their horse.  Ha!  About the time two or three would get on their horse then one ...

Linnea had French toast and ate most of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, three servings of peas, and ate a large serving of watermelon. I was just writing about "cool" things in another journal, and following that theme this first picture is very cool.  Eric delivered Linnea to Little Treasures on his bicycle from the North Side.  Good work Daddy Eric.  Linnea's brother Anders was along for the ride too.  This is a very amazing bike!  I'm very impressed with how it is set up! Next picture; Look what Linnea is doing to her ponytail; stretching it straight forward.  And look at Svea's expression.  So funny.  Silly kids.  I love the last picture.  This is classic Miles; Svea and Linnea playing and being rowdy on the chair and even though he's partially under the chair he just keeps looking at his book.

Linnea ate two servings of whole wheat toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, two servings of cauliflower, and two servings of fruit salad. First picture; Atley and Linnea were the only ones here for a while this morning and they had animals all lined up in the window.  Linnea had a fun and happy morning until about 10:45 when she fell off the yellow bench (that she's standing on in the picture) and landed on one of these animals.  She howled and never totally recovered before Lunch and Nap Time.  Poor Sweetie. Next two pictures;  Linnea and Svea playing with the dolls and then Miles rolled over to where Svea and Linnea were playing and Svea started putting dolls in front of him.  Linnea asked, "What are you doing?"  Svea said, "Getting babies for  MY  Miles."  Linnea never said anything about that "possessive" comment so I guess they're ...

Linnea ate blueberry muffin and ate two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of shrimp, ate brown rice, a large serving of stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries.  At breakfast Svea told Linnea; "Here's your high chair Linnea."  Linnea was SO excited!  She acted like the chair had been missing!!  "Svea found my high chair Gary!!  Svea found my high chair!!"  :)  Also at breakfast time Avilene said, "My Mom has a wallet and it has a LOT of money in it!!"  Linnea said, "My Mom has a wallet and it has dinosaurs in it."  LOL First picture; Linnea got down and said "hi" to Miles and I happened to have the camera ready.  She doesn't really like to cooperate if I try to recreate a scene so I have to catch her in the moment!!  Ha. Linnea ate some bran cereal and a few raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat pita bread, two servings of cucumber, two servings of avocado, and two servings of pears. This first picture is taken right after waving bye to Momma Megan.  Atley is a big girl, but from this angle, plus the fact she's on the top of the bench back railing, it makes her look huge and Linnea tiny. Funny picture.  They were looking at a worm taking refuge from the wet grass laying on the sidewalk again.  They got excited when it moved.  "It's moving Gary!  It's moving!!" Next picture; All five girls were playing on the balance beam and it was their "airplane."  Nora was actually the one that got this started while playing with Svea and Linnea.  Avi and Atley soon joined them and when I took the picture Atley said, "Ok everybody get on the airplane.  Put your seatbelts on."  :)  The picture makes it obvious that Avi and Atley kind...

Linnea ate a large bowl of cream of wheat cereal and half of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of whole 30 chili with meat, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and tomato sauce.  She ate half of whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of tropical fruit. Immediately after arrival this morning Linnea was trying to tell me something and I was having a hard time understanding her, but with Lauralea's help we eventually figured it out.  She was saying, "Ate chocolate brownie bar in the car!"  I thought she was talking about "a bouncy ball in the car." Haha.  I guess the leftover chocolate on her face should have been a clue.  :) This first picture is leftover from yesterday afternoon.  The kids spotted a bug high on the wall and they were all yelling "spider spider!!"  So I took care of the spider, but it was actually a small beetle. Linnea ate two servings of waffles and two servings of watermelon for breakfast.  For lunch she ate turkey loaf, whole wheat tortillas, sweet potatoes, and two servings of cherries. Linnea had another good morning playing with her friends.  Seems just normal and natural to have her back at Little Treasures.  First two pictures - she and Nora were playing with the food toys and I heard Nora ask Linnea; "Do you like cheese pizza or pepperoni pizza?"  Linnea selected the "pepperoni pizza."  You can see the pizza in front of Nora's right hand.  Second picture;  Then Baby Miles rolled over to join the pizza party.  :)  Linnea loves the little ones. Linnea ate French toast and three servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat toast, broccoli, and pineapple. Every day  when I'm feeding Miles his baby food mixture, Svea is begging for a bite.  So I've started giving her  ONE  bite and then she's done begging. Linnea watched that yesterday and then today was intently watching again.  And today Linnea was smacking her lips!  Haha.  I asked her if she wanted a bite.  Linnea said, "No (chuckle chuckle) I'm a big kid." Linnea ate whole wheat English muffin and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of pork roast, half of whole wheat toast, ate beets, and two servings of applesauce. Wow, it was SO awesome and delightful to have sweet Linnea back!!  She is such a sweet doll!  And on top of all that she said, "Yes" every time I asked her; "Can I give you another love!?!"  :)  I fixed her hair and then she wanted to follow Atley by putting on a lion suit so I had to get a picture before her hair started getting messed up!! Linnea soon took off the lion suit and after Nora arrived Nora was trying to talk Linnea into getting "dressed up."  Ha.  Nora said, "If you don't get dressed up you can't come with us on halloween."  So in the next picture you can see Linnea willingly allowed Nora to help her into the leopard jacket.  But that didn't last very long either.
