Linnea - 10/5/2018

Linnea ate cream of wheat cereal and bites of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of baked beef kabobs with meat, peppers, pineapple, and zucchini.  She ate bites of brown rice and a large serving of pineapple on the side. I've mentioned a few times how much Linnea likes Svea and her reaction is so cute when she sees Svea for the first time in the morning, or when Svea gets up from a nap.  We were eating breakfast when Svea and Avi arrived and Linnea kept saying, "Vaya, Vaya, Vaya."  Lauralea said, "She's saying Svea's name" and she sure was!! First picture - This cap has been in Linnea's cubby most of the summer.  Anders got it out when they dropped off Linnea and I put it on her head and she left it on for 10 or 15 minutes.  Here she is checking it out in the mirror!  Next picture - Linnea was scooping all the toys out of this shelf that she could reach! Next picture: The "big" girls were running from the window ...

I'm glad Daddy Eric gave me a head's up about Linnea being a bit plugged-up this morning.  My first reaction was still: "Why is she just standing there and screaming!?!"  Oh that's right!!  Poor Sweetie.  She got out about three good sized pieces (from two separate attempts) so that was good.  So with all that in mind I held out any bread products from her meals today.  For breakfast she ate three large servings of fruit salad.  (No waffle.)  For lunch she ate bites of shepherd's pie with burger, green beans, carrots and sweet potatoes.  She ate cherries.  (No tortillas.) Linnea was giving me "5" and chuckling.  I love her laugh.  Atley was watching and then wanted to give Linnea "5" too.  But she was a bit heavy-handed and hit too hard, plus missed Linnea's hand and hit her arm, and Linnea landed on the floor!  So after some instruction and adjustments Atley was more gentle.  She wasn't being a turkey, she's j...

Linnea ate french toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate whole 30 chili with ground beef, peppers, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes.  She had bites of whole wheat dinner roll and ate tropical fruit. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when the kids were playing in the tunnel.  I took this picture just as Momma Becca arrived and you can see Linnea walking toward the gate.  We had both tunnels hooked together and they had lots of fun crawling through and playing in them.  Even Baby Svea crawled all the way through! Here are a couple of pictures from this morning.  Linnea loves to play in this chair!  Several times she managed to crawl up there this morning.  And she was mad once because Atley was already in the chair!  Following picture:  I didn't quite get the picture I wanted, but it was close!!  :)  I looked up just in time to see Linnea come crawling through from under the legos table....

Linnea ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of pork chop meat, ate whole wheat toast, bites of beets, no sweet potatoes, and ate applesauce. She crawled right up into the chair this morning and I like how she's sitting there looking like a big shot!!  "Hi Everyone!  I'm kind of a big deal!!"  Second picture: Linnea checking out Linnea in the mirror.  :)  "Now who are you again!?!"  Third picture: we've seen this several times and Linnea loves it.  Avi loves it too when she jumps around Linnea and Linnea laughs and laughs! The three "older" girls were wearing dress-up clothes almost all morning.  Here's a picture of Linnea working hard to get those shorts on!  Isn't this the cutest!?!  I love how they learn from watching each other!! Last picture: Linnea was getting tired and needed her binky shortly before lunch.  She had a great morning and really didn't fuss at...

Linnea ate whole wheat chex cereal and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of ground beef, no whole wheat hamburger bun, no tomatoes, half of avocado, and ate oranges. We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and all the kids love Monday morning toy exchange!  Lots of new stuff to explore!!  I was laughing hard watching Linnea and Svea try to play with the same pop-up toy.  I have 2 or more of everything to help eliminate conflict, but the toy that's being used is always more interesting!!  First two pictures: Linnea was trying to keep the toy away from Svea and she started to roll over with the toy, it was too big and she bonked herself on the head!  Svea, of course, didn't have a clue about that and just continued to head for the toy and was basically trying to crawl over Linnea and Linnea was trying to hold her off!  It just couldn't have been funnier or cuter!!  Wonderful start to a Monday morning - at ...

Linnea had several bites of breakfast: oatmeal and dried cranberries.  For lunch she ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce. Linnea was probably here for 20 minutes before someone else (Atley) arrived and we had fun, or at least I did!  Haha!  I was observing her play and being silly with her.  Here are a couple of pictures I took during that time.  So far I haven't gotten a picture of this, but she likes to bend over with her feet still on the floor and her head on the floor looking between her legs.  About 90% of the kids we've had have done that same thing at this stage and age.  I also noticed while she was walking she was starting to experiment with bobbing her head around.  So she's obviously getting pretty confident about her walking! I LOVE these next two pictures!!  Svea and Linnea were playing side-by-side several times this morning.  Linnea pulled out a couple of the xylophones and I though...

Linnea ate bites of whole wheat bagel and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger and sausage pizza on whole wheat pizza crust with tomato sauce, peppers, olives, and pineapple.  She also ate two servings of pineapple on the side. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon during outside time.  Linnea played right here in this wagon for the majority of the time we were out there until Mommy and Anders arrived.  I just think this is a cute picture of her!! For the past several days the "older" girls have been playing with the dress-up aprons.  Avi and Atley each grab an end of the tie strings and those strings are pretty long!  They call that their "jump rope!" ha!  Today Atley said, "Let's play jump rope!"  Their jump rope play looks like a combination of jump rope, tug-o-war, chase, and run like crazy!  Linnea likes to watch them and laugh!  Then today I noticed Linnea has been packing around anothe...
