Linnea - 10/31/2018

Linnea ate most of french toast and ate strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate "whole 30 chili" with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and lots of spices.  She also ate tropical fruit and no whole wheat dinner roll. Well I just have to post another picture of snuggling with Linnea!!  I'm loving this - no matter how long it lasts!  A short phase or long phase!  :)  I was bragging to Lauralea that Linnea has been so much more snuggly the past couple of weeks.  Lauralea came up the stairs and I said, "Look at this!!" She said, "You're kind of liking this aren't you?"  Yup. The next two pictures go together.  Lauralea was in the kitchen and Linnea was "peeking" at her.  Isn't that cute!?  Also, this is a pretty good picture of her Halloween costume.  Atley came with "cat ears" on her head and she said, "I have costume on my head."  Later she said, "I have decorations on my head."  Ha!...

Linnea ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork chop, whole wheat toast, bites of sweet potatoes, bite of beets, and ate applesauce. Linnea took off a sock this morning and held it up to me.  So I reached for it and she took off running!  Haha!  Pretty funny.  In this first picture she was sitting on the couch with this bowl on her foot and lifting it up.  Judging by her expression it was pretty funny!  :) Linnea had a good morning as she usually does.  :)  Lauralea helped me do three or four short videos of the kids singing - hopefully get those put together with other pictures for something on DVD by Christmas!  (Hopefully!)  Sneak preview and teaser: Linnea was pretty stinking cute in a couple of them!  :)  Next picture: She was playing with the "toasters" in one of her favorite spots to hang out! Speaking of favorites!!  Here's Linn...

Linnea ate chex cereal and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, half of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate avocado, bite of tomatoes, and ate oranges. Linnea was the first one here and she was snuggly this morning for the first several minutes.  First picture: we were doing some selfies and she's looking at herself in the camera.  I can make her chuckle first thing in the morning by saying, "Hey Linnea, say Gary!"  Chuckle chuckle, chuckle chuckle.  Then I said, "Are you a sweetie?"  She nodded her head yes.  So cute!! Another picture before anyone else arrived:  Linnea was playing by the mattress with some of the dress-up clothes.  The song on the iPod was "Peek-a-boo, I love you..."  So I was singing along and she was looking at me and she was like; "I know how to play that game!!"  So I got the camera and kept singing along with the song!  Well played Linnea!! We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange t...

Linnea ate half of her oatmeal and ate dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce. We have this morning routine: Linnea is usually the first one here and we go to the chair and she sits on my lap while waiting for Daddy and Anders to drive around the corner to wave at them.  Then she usually sits on my lap some more and we look at book or wave at ourselves in the mirror.  This morning she got down and was playing in front of the mirror when I took this first picture.  She was looking at me and waving.  You're a cutie Linnea!!  :) Next picture; this is one of Linnea's favorite posters.  (I can make that determination because she spends more time looking at it than any other poster!  Haha!)  These are all wildlife pictures I cut out of the Montana magazine and we laminated it.  Plus, she happened to be pointing at a special animal and I had to include this for D...

Linnea ate bites of whole wheat bagel and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate sausage and hamburger pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, tomato sauce, olives, pineapple, and peppers.  She also ate a large serving of pineapple on the side. First picture: Linnea was "talking" on the phone she's holding in her hand.  (I had a picture of that, but it's not nearly as cute as this picture!!  Ha!)  It was so adorable and she was just jabbering away!  That's usually one of the first "dramatic play" activities we see with this age group where they "pretend" to do things they regularly see.  Playing with the food toys and "eating" the food is the another popular one and frequently one of the first we see. I didn't get a picture of this, but Nora was laying on her tummy on the mattress and Linnea kind of laid across her; and just laid there.  Nora was pinned!  She started howling like she was dying and the whole sc...

Rather than sending out a separate email I'm gonna include a reminder to begin the Blog today.   Please write these dates down, put them in your calendar, or whatever you use. Closure dates for the remainder of 2018: November 19 - 23.  Little Treasures is closed for Thanksgiving week.  (Louisiana here we come!!!) December 24 - 25. Also, closed for New Years Day January 1st.  That's a Tuesday and I'm scheduled to be open on Monday December 31st unless most families have other plans. Linnea ate half of whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortilla, bites of carrots & potatoes, and ate fruit salad. I love how much she's understanding language.  Stop me if you've heard this before!!  (Sorry, I heard nothing so I get to continue!!)  She took off her sock and Lauralea said, "Are you gonna give your socks to Gary?"  She immediately whipped around and headed my way! ...

Linnea ate some toasted whole wheat english muffin and bites of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of chicken, bites of brown rice, most of stir fry vegetables, and ate oranges. Linnea seemed exhausted first thing this morning so she took a nap until breakfast and it helped immensely!!  She was happy all morning playing and exploring!!  I was impressed!!  So I took some random pictures throughout the morning of Linnea's activities.  After breakfast the 3 "big girls" did some preschool activities, Svea was sleeping, and Linnea played independently for the longest time!! She didn't even go to the fence to see what the other kids were doing.  In this first picture she's on the legos table playing with the barn.  We have lots of barn animals and legos barn animals as well.  But Linnea had a little legos person in the barn stall.  :) Here's a picture of her being loud and rowdy and having a great time.  Lauralea went out...

Linnea ate cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of ground beef, ate bites of whole wheat pita bread, ate avocado, half of olives, bite of tomato, and ate cantaloupe. Linnea had a great morning playing and laughing with the other kids.  She was sitting on the legos table pitching legos onto the floor that Atley and Avi had arranged up there.  Linnea thought she was being hilarious judging by the laughter every time she threw a legos.  :) She was here before anyone else and these first two pictures were taken during that time.  Linnea had most of the doll blankets and piled them in the corner.  The next picture she climbed up on that shelf without removing any of the toys first.  Then she looked back at me, grinned and said, "Hi!"  What a Cutie!!  That made me laugh! All last week Nora was gone on vacation and Linnea was gone for two days so it was fun to have everyone here this morning.  They, especially No...

Linnea ate french toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hearty paleo stew with meat, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, green beans, and carrots.  She also ate saltines and tropical fruit.  We have this little routine we do every meal time and she loves the routine.  I tell her to come to her high chair and she waits at the gate for me and I hold her hands while she steps up and maneuvers through the gate.  It's really cute.  She's a little sweetie and I love Linnea! This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon just before we went outside to play.  Linnea and Svea were playing close to each other and they really do get excited to see each other after naps or first thing in the morning.  Linnea is so gentle with Svea!  I'm so happy about that and also impressed that I actually only remember one time I've had to tell her (and show her) "gentle."  Linnea's personality is really starting to blossom and sh...

Linnea ate waffle and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of her chicken, half of whole wheat tortilla, ate corn, and a large serving of baked cinnamon apples. Same morning ritual: As soon as Linnea saw Lauralea today she headed directly to the mattress and started bouncing on the edge of it!  Haha!  Too cute.  When Nora was that age - same thing - showoff for Lauralea every morning.  Avi, same thing!! Atley and Linnea spotted two different puppies this morning while waiting for Momma Becca to drive by.  The neighbor across the street has a cute little black puppy that the kids love to watch.  In the picture below their puppy is on the sidewalk on the other side of the street.  Look at the top of Linnea's head and a little bit to the left.  :)  Second picture: Linnea joined Atley playing with the tractors and barn set.  Atley was making "motor" sounds and that made Linnea laugh. Linnea chuckles ev...

Linnea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of turkey burger, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, bite of tomato, ate avocado, and ate half of cherries.  At breakfast she was doing her long exaggerated "ahhhhhh" after a satisfying drink of her milk.  Just like the video Daddy Eric showed me.  And of course I laughed so that totally encouraged her to do more!  :) Linnea had a great morning and stayed busy until she started running out of gas around 11:00.  So we ate lunch a few minutes early.  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and everyone was very engaged with the "new" stuff today.  I like this first picture - Linnea was crawling onto the legos table, but just kind of stopped with one leg hanging over the side and played in this position for a minute or two!  In the second picture she's doing pretend play - "drinking" from a cup. In the next picture - this is the spot where Linnea l...

Linnea ate bites of french toast and bites of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, peas, and watermelon.  I got a new router installed last night so the Blogs are up and going today!! Linnea gets lots of practice waving bye to the parents in the morning - at the window.  She's frequently the first or second one here.  This morning I said to Nora, "Go wave at Daddy."  Linnea starts waving and heads for the window!!  Haha!  She knows that routine!!  :)  Yesterday morning Atley was here early with Linnea and she played so nice with Linnea!  They were rolling around on the mattress, crawling around on the floor, and Atley was totally playing on Linnea's level and Linnea totally loved it!  (At least that's what I assumed by the laughing, squealing, and giggling!) Lauralea had reached out her hands to Linnea to see if she'd be okay with Lauralea picking her up. Linnea whipped her h...

Linnea ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of shrimp, ate brown rice, half of stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries. I don't know if Daddy Eric noticed how Linnea kept looking up when she was at the window waving bye this morning.  Here's a picture of what she was looking at.  A moth was on the outside of the window and it stayed there most of the morning.  (I just went and looked - 1:20 - and it's still there!) Linnea spotted it before I did.  What are you looking at!?  :) Linnea was happy to see Svea and kept pointing at her saying, "Baby baby baby......baby baby baby."  Next picture: Svea had a toy in her hand and was holding it out to Linnea.  That is very common at this age as I'm sure you've seen it many times.  However, babies really don't expect or want you to take what they are holding.  Linnea reached to take it and Svea wouldn't turn loose of course...
