Linnea's Journal

Linnea ate some oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate fish (bass), whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce.  Linnea took a morning nap and it was so cute when she spotted her friends after she awoke.  She was waving and grinning at everybody and getting so excited!  We all love you too Linnea!! Speaking of grinning and waving I took this first picture when Linnea first spotted Lauralea this morning!  It's fun to try and capture her first reaction - after a few minutes it's more like, "oh, it's you again.  You're still here?"  :) Next picture: Oh geez Gary, are you taking pictures of me again!?!  Yup I am, you're just too cute!  You can see Nora crawling up on the igloo to jump (top left corner) and I also like the stuffed animal to the right of Linnea.  That cat looks pretty realistic!! Linnea ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate sausage and hamburger pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, tomato sauce, pineapple, olives, and peppers.  She also ate two servings of pineapple on the side. Linnea was at the window waving bye to Daddy - well, maybe not waving, but she was at the window!!  Ha!  Anyhow, with school back in session and we live on a school route between two schools, it's very busy out the window and lots for the kids to watch.  Linnea was ready to get down two or three times, but something else would show up!!  Kids walking, school buses, bikes, cars, dogs.....here comes some more!! Linnea ate some whole wheat toast and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of chicken with stir fry vegetables, ate brown rice, and cherries. It was so good to have our Linnea back at Little Treasures this morning!!  When Svea arrived Linnea was immediately reaching for her!  She was so happy to see her friend and it was total cuteness!  On a cuteness scale this was off the charts!!  Love!!  Here are 3 pictures - in sequence -  so you can kinda see what that looked like! Linnea ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce.  I mixed her lunch all together and fed her and she loved it! Well I've got Linnea's Blog kind of loaded with pictures, but I don't want to delete any because they all tell a story!!  This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when we were outside, but I'm primarily posting it because it's the first time I put a ponytail in Linnea's hair.  She wasn't a huge fan, but I tried to be quick and also gave her a toy to distract her. First picture from today: I was taking pictures of Linnea playing with the plates again.  You can see them in the picture; she was shuffling them around and trying to stack them.  Then all of a sudden she picks up the cup and pretends to drink.  How cute is that?  (The beginning stages of what we call dramatic play or pretend play.)  I love the 2nd and 3rd pic...

Linnea ate most of her french toast and ate strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate paleo stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes.  She ate saltines and tropical fruit.  She ate the saltines and tropical fruit first and I was wondering if she'd eat the stew.  Whoa...I turned around and she was shoveling it in!  Haha!  Nice job Linnea!  I'm impressed!  :) I took this first picture during snack yesterday afternoon.  Linnea and Nora were being pretty silly in their highchairs and it was so cute.  I love it when the kids interact with each other this way!  Nora was making goofy squawking noises and Linnea was laughing loud!  It's also very cute how much enjoyment they get from making each other laugh!  Nora was cracking up every time Linnea would laugh! Hudson and Linnea were the only two kids here for 30 minutes and they had fun together.  Linnea was holding her hand out and Hudson...

Linnea ate waffle and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of baked chicken, bites of whole wheat dinner roll, ate corn on the cob (which I cut off the cob for her - "I don't have many teeth Gary! I need some help here!!"), and ate most of her baked cinnamon apples. Linnea was pretty tired first thing this morning so she took a nap and ate breakfast after she woke up. She was in the highchair eating and Nora came over to her with her hand extended toward Linnea.  She said, "Boogie Linnea, boogie!!"  Haha!  Well I'm sure Linnea is totally impressed with your boogies Nora, but let's get it wiped off your finger.  Silly kids.  :) Linnea really likes the other kids and they ALL love her.  It's so adorable.  She laughs and giggles easily with them and it's fun to watch.  Lately it's been Avilene and Nora making her laugh and laughing with her.  That's exactly what Avi was doing in this first picture.  Then in the 2nd picture...

Linnea ate some kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of ground turkey, ate whole wheat hamburger bun, bites of tomato, ate avocado, and cherries. Well everyone is back this week except for Atley.  She left on Friday and will be back next Monday so the Daycare is almost back to normal!  We took our granddaughter home yesterday as well!  She sure loved playing with the Daycare kids, especially the babies! I took this first picture of Linnea just after she'd waved bye to Daddy Eric and brother Anders.  The kids love to stand on the little step and just watch whatever is happening outside the window.  It's pretty busy with kids during school, people jogging or walking, walking their pets, birds, airplanes (Atley's favorite), or our neighbor Big Willy across the street getting his mail like he did today!  The kids bang on the window and wave at him and he loves it! Linnea had about an hour nap before she ate breakfast.  Here is what she had for breakfast: whole wheat toast and mangoes.  For lunch she ate several bites of hamburger stew with meat, green beans, carrots, and tomatoes. She had no whole wheat dinner roll, but she ate a large serving of apricots!  She loved those apricots and ate all of them first!   Last night Story was "Face-Timing" her Mom and Dad and she scheduled a 10:00 call this morning so Daddy could see Linnea!  Isn't that cute?!  I loved it.  So at 10:00 she was on the phone introducing my Son and our other granddaughter to Linnea.  Precious!  Story is obviously a bit enamored with Linnea and she's gonna miss her.  I told her I'd text a picture of Linnea whenever she wanted me to. Linnea had bites of french toast and bites of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, a large serving of peas, and lots of watermelon. I have some short notes to jot down first: Linnea needs diapers and I'll put a note on her cubby as well.  She also took a morning nap today.  Last, but certainly not least, she took 3 steps this morning! She was at the couch, turned around and took steps toward the changing table!  She is so ready to just take off! We had a busy fun night last night and it carried over into the morning!!  Kenzie and Riley came after Daycare yesterday and spent the night with us.  So Lauralea and Story slept with them in a tent in the yard.  Me? Linnea ate bites of whole wheat bagel and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of shrimp, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries.  Just in case anyone is wondering why certain children are missing from the pictures: There are only 3 children here today and for the rest of the week as Nora, Avilene, and Svea are gone on vacation.  Then Atley leaves on Friday for vacation and will be gone all next week as well.  It's that time of year!! I rarely look at the finished Blog that everyone reads.  I insert the pictures, notes, and do editing on a different page.  Anyhow, I realize there is a place for comments on the finished page.  This program never alerts me to whether or not there is a comment so I'm going to post my email address and if anyone ever has a comment or question please feel free to email me.  For example, Hudson's Grandma frequently sends me a note and that's lots of fun.  gsanks@msn.com I just realiz...

Linnea ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of chicken, whole wheat pita bread, bites of peppers, cucumbers, no olives, half of tomatoes, and ate pears.  My Granddaughter Story is here and said, "She's muddy looking!"  Atley of course then had to say, "She's a mess!"  I'm just impressed by how well Linnea feeds herself and how much she eats!  :) So my oldest Granddaughter (she's 8 and her name is Story) is here this week and the kids were excited to have a visitor this morning and someone who paid attention to them.  My Granddaughter is short for her age with a 5 foot Asian Momma and my son is also short!  (His biological Dad is Puerto Rican.)  Story stood beside Atley and said, "I'm taller than her!"  Haha!  Well good, she's a 2 year old!  Story is an excellent reader and Story was in charge of Story Time!  :)  First two pictures - Linnea getting acquainted with Story and then Hudson joine...

Linnea ate french toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate "Whole 30" chili with hamburger, tomato sauce, peppers, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes.  She ate bites of whole wheat dinner roll and ate a large serving of tropical fruit. Linnea had a great morning - like usual!  :)  She's such a busy little girl and she fits in perfectly at Little Treasures.  I totally love having her here!!  I like this first picture: She's looking back and here's what she's thinking, "Oh!
