Linnea's Journal

Linnea ate oatmeal and maybe a bite or two of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, tomatoes, and green beans.  She had bites of whole wheat dinner roll and ate her apricots. Avi was laughing because of how Linnea was wearing her tutu this morning.  She had it pulled up  very  high, almost to her arm pits.  Avi said, "It's almost up to her shoulders!!"  :) Next two pictures: After waving at Momma Megan Atley and Linnea were being silly at the window!  It was pretty funny and I love how Atley can make everyone laugh!  She was making me laugh this morning too!!  I was doing something on the couch and she was sticking her face super close to my face with this goofy fake grin.  It looked funny and I laughed and that was all it took!! She did it OVER and OVER and OVER!!!  She LOVED the fact that she could make me laugh!!  She is seriously a very fun kid!!  :)...

Linnea ate two servings of French toast and several bites of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef with marinara sauce, whole wheat spaghetti noodles, cauliflower, and fruit salad. Linnea is persisting with her pooping issues, BUT she had a much better morning than yesterday!! Thankfully, she had no pinched fingers and no bloody nose this time around!!  First picture: I've mentioned this before, but we always call the "arm" of the couch, the "bump."  And when we have Story Time this is Atley's "bump" and the other bump is Avilene's.  Linnea crawled up there today and said, "I'm sitting on Atley's bump."  And she was pretty stinking proud of herself.  :) Second picture: I took this picture when these were the only two kids here!  Linnea was on the floor with him and she said, "Hey, he grabba my hand!!"  Haha!  Yup, he's just a baby and that's what babies do.  Soon she said, "Hey!...

Linnea ate whole wheat toast and mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of pulled pork, bites of whole wheat dinner roll, ate peas, and strawberries. First picture: I'd just finished getting Linnea's hair fixed and she had to get that tutu on!  I think it's cute because like you see in the picture she frequently doesn't get it pulled up over her butt.  :) Poor Linnea.  This was not the easiest of mornings for her!!  You can probably tell by the next picture (her body language, even though the angle is not the best) that she's struggling with her pooping issue here!  Then about this same time Atley accidentally pinched Linnea's finger in the doll house.  Oh man, Linnea was already not too happy with life and she started yelling at Atley and wagging her finger at her as well!!  Atley said, "I didn't mean to!!"  And that was basically the end of it, but it was intense for a few moments.  Wow!  :) Last picture: Then af...

Linnea ate whole wheat bagel and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries. Linnea had a great morning as did all of the kids.  Everyone was happy to be back and we had lots of fun.  I've been doing some remodeling in the Daycare Room and I've taken out the step in front of the big window.  (Which we're gonna use for a balance beam in the yard.)  I have two little yellow benches that the little ones can stand on to look out and the older girls are plenty tall enough to not need a step.  Well this morning Linnea was on her tiptoes looking out and Atley was standing real tall on the yellow bench.  Haha! Linnea ate two servings of waffles and a large serving of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shepherd's pie with meat, green beans, carrots, and potatoes.  She also ate most of whole wheat tortillas and ate her cherries.  I had their lunch on their plates ready to serve when Linnea said, "I'm poopy Gary."  When that happens at meal time she won't even come out to her highchair.  She just waits for me to come change her.  You're so smart Linnea and I love it that you'll tell me what's going on!  It really helps a lot!! Linnea had a good morning like she always does!  We got off to a challenging start because she had something in her hair.  It felt kind of sticky (which is very normal) and it wasn't fun for a couple of minutes, but she and I both survived and it was all forgotten moments later!! Linnea ate two servings of French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate "Whole 30 chili" with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and peppers.  She had bites of her whole wheat dinner roll, and ate tropical fruit. First picture: This is really about Nora, but these four were waiting to wave bye to Nora's Momma Emily.  Atley was in the bathroom when Nora arrived and Nora was freaking out that Atley was gonna miss waving good bye.  I said, "Here she comes!"  And I was referring to Atley!  Nora thought I meant her Momma was coming around the corner and she freaked out more because Atley was NOT at the window yet.  Oh man!  By the time I took this picture poor Nora was a wreak!! Linnea ate whole wheat English muffin and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of pork chop, ate most of whole wheat toast, bites of beets, and ate most of applesauce.  This next note isn't about Linnea, but we'll call it Breakfast entertainment: At the breakfast table Atley did two or three really  loud  burps and Avi said, "Say excuse me!!"  Atley said, "no."  And Avi repeated it again.  Finally Atley said, "Excuse me!"  Avi said, "Now say it again!  You burped two times!!"  Haha! Linnea ate whole wheat Chex cereal and three servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate cucumber, and oranges. NOTICE:  I just want to remind everyone that Little Treasures will be closed  Monday the 27th  for Memorial Day!  (That's next Monday!)  And I may as well start reminding you now of the following closure dates: Those will be my yearly days off in Summer.   July 4 - July 12  this year.  (July 4 is on a Thursday.) We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and as usual everyone was engaged and busy!! Linnea ate oatmeal and bites of dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger and sausage pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, meat, olives, pineapple, peppers, and tomato sauce.  She also ate pineapple on the side. The first three pictures are from yesterday afternoon.  I'm not sure what Linnea was doing under the legos table, but apparently she was having fun because she was laughing, came out, and went back in. Second picture: these three had just awoke from their naps and Linnea had jingle bells to entertain Callahan.  Svea was like "forget the jingle bells, I'll entertain him with my foot!!"  Ha!  She was  not  being rough with her foot, just touching him and it was over. Linnea ate whole wheat bagel and a large serving of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, most of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and applesauce. Here's some pictures from Linnea's morning at Little Treasures!  She played with some dolls first, then I fixed her hair, then she sat on my lap and we visited.  So I had to take some pictures and here's one using the mirror.  (No one else had arrived yet.)  Second picture; Linnea is feeding her baby.  I have no idea how long she played with her doll in the stroller, but it was a LONG time!!  Good work Linnea!! Linnea ate whole wheat toast and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she had a bite or taste of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of her carrots, and three servings of fruit salad. These first two pictures are actually leftover from yesterday afternoon.  First one.  Atley had pulled up her pant leg to show Svea her bandaid.  "See my bandaid Svea."  Haha!  Then Linnea immediately joined them to have a look too!  Linnea asked her - "happened?"  Atley said, "I fell down on the sidewalk.  You can touch it if you want too."  LOL.  Linnea didn't respond and Svea seemed satisfied to just take pictures with her cell phone!  :)  Second picture:  Linnea was on a teeter-totter by herself - she kind of prefers it that way - while Avi and Svea are using one in the background. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when they were using chalk on the sidewalk.  Linnea followed Atley around; wherever Atley wanted to color, that's where Linnea wanted to color too! Well for some reason the pictures from this morning are not uploading to the computer so we'll have to go without pics for today!!  (Except for this One picture from this morning that DID upload!!) Linnea ate cheerios and bites of banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of ground beef, no whole wheat pita bread, half of olives, bites of tomato, ate avocado, and ate strawberries. Linnea said something really cute and funny, so I'll try to put it in context and explain what it means. During Story Time we always sit in the same order and it works good and the kids know which spot is "their's!"  The two oldest kids, Avi and Atley, sit on the arms of the couch.  Except we call them "bumps."  Today (NOT during Story Time) Atley was sitting on the bump of the couch and then slid down on the couch cushion.  Linnea was not happy about that and said, "That my bump! !"  Haha! Later she was watching Avilene and Atley working in the Preschool area and asked, "What doing guys!?  What doing guys!?!"  Atley finally answered and told her they were "reading books" and whatever else they were doing.  Thank you for answering her At...

Linnea ate oatmeal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of salmon, most of whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and mangoes. This morning while Linnea was the only one here she was singing and she totally sang the entire song of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star."  All the way through and pretty much on tune as well.  Then later it was the "ABC Song" and I especially like how she hits the "L M N O P" with a loud and strong emphasis.  :) First picture is from yesterday afternoon.  I've mentioned this previously, but Atley has a strong connection with Linnea and every time Linnea is fussy Atley suddenly appears and will try to sooth her.  It's really pretty precious!  Linnea really dislikes the whole pooping procedure, including the clean up, so the picture you see is a  very  common occurrence!  Atley is telling her; "It's ok Linnea."
